How the club is run
The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Club members is the prime body that controls the Club's affairs. The AGM is held once a year, before 31 October, and elects the Executive Council once every three years. It approves programmes, the budget, and other Club matters — including the Rules and Regulations — on an annual basis, and authorises the Executive Council to run the day-to-day affairs of the Club.
Management of the Alpine Club of Pakistan is vested in the Executive Council, elected for a three-year tenure by the AGM. It comprises a President, four to five Vice Presidents, an Honorary Secretary, a Treasurer, and up to fifteen Executive Council members. The Executive Council meets at least once every three months to steer the Club's activities.
